Started at 17 with a trunk full of tools and a nervous first job. Now, over 200 details later, a fully built-out trailer and a loyal client base, all built on trust, hard work, and doing it right every time.
The first one
What started as something small quickly turned into something much bigger. I’ve always taken pride in keeping vehicles clean, starting with my mom’s car. She would always tell me how good of a job I did, and at some point it clicked — maybe this was something I could turn into a business.
Not long after, I booked my very first detail. I loaded up a few basic tools and chemicals into the trunk of my sedan and headed out to Wythe County. A customer trusted me with his Ford Focus ST, a car I knew deserved careful attention, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. It mattered to me that I got it right. At the time, I was only 17, and my mom was understandably nervous about me going to other people’s houses. She actually followed me out there and waited nearby while I completed the job, just to make sure everything went smoothly
That first detail set the tone for everything that followed. Doing things the right way, paying attention to the small details, and taking pride in the work. Now, over 200 details later, Sayers Auto Detailing has grown into something much bigger than I ever expected. What hasn’t changed is the approach: treating every vehicle like it’s our own and making sure every customer feels confident in the quality of work they’re getting.
